Will Participate in a Bilingual Reading at Café Muse

This bilingual poetry reading in English and Spanish will pay tribute to Puerto Rican poet, Egla Morales Blouin, and will feature the work of poets Luis Alberto Ambroggio, Rei Berroa, David Camero, Carlos Parada Ayala, Alberto Avendaño, and Ada Vilageliu Díaz as published in the poetry anthology "Al pie de la Casa Blanca - Poetas hispanos de Washington, DC".
Co-edited by Luis Alberto Ambroggio and Carlos Parada Ayala, “Al Pie de la Casa Blanca” was originally published in Spanish by the North American Academy of the Spanish Language, New York, July 2010, and is currently being translated to English. In September of 2010, the Library of Congress selected this publication to celebrate 400 years of poetry written in Spanish in the United States.
The recital at Café Muse will open with Michael Davis on classical guitar. Poems will be read in Spanish followed by their English translation. The Spanish version of the anthology will be available for sale during the event. An open mic will follow the reading.
